We are still processing the incredible tragedy in Newtown, CT.  The fact that we have children that suffer from behavioral challenges, mental health issues and substance abuse has created constant pain, an ache deep in our hearts.  Our hearts break for all of the parents and families who have lost loved ones and a dark, heavy shadow looms over us. HERE WE GO! There’s an anticipation in the air that is as filled with excitement, hope and magic as the holiday season. The clock is winding down to the end of 2012, and the GPS for Youth and Family Board and I are engaged in the tasks to open the organization’s doors in January 2013.  In the days and weeks ahead, we’ll hire staff, prepare the physical space that will become our first home and hang an ‘open’ sign on the door.
