Adaptive Recreation

The Adaptive Recreation Division of Kent Parks and Recreation offers a full range of programs, sports, services and classes for citizens with and without disabilities in our community.  Examples include Summer Playgrounds, Movin’ & Groovin’ for toddlers, developmental Swim for ages 8+, Cooking and Computer classes for ages 14+, and many others.

Auburn Parks and Recreation offers Specialized Recreation Programs for individuals with special needs­ anyone who requires extra assistance or support including but not limited to people with physical or developmental disabilities. Specialized Recreation

The Renton Specialized Recreation Program provides a variety of inclusive recreational opportunities as well as adaptive programs for persons with disabilities. The program provides an opportunity to participate in group leisure and recreational activities in the least restrictive environment possible. They welcome and encourage youth and adults with special needs to register for all programs offered, not just the programs listed for Specialized Rec. Pre-registration is required for all programs.
