The power of support was never more evident than on September 30th at our Movie Night & Conversation at Integrity Life Church in Federal Way.  That date marked the second of two great events in September! (The first event took place September 26th at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Shoreline, hosted by Pastor Randy Butler and attended by 20 people.)

We ended our celebration of Recovery Month 2014 by coming together with community members, our Board and staff to hear and share recovery stories and points of view on the experiences of people who face mental health and substance use challenges. Pastor Joe Bowen and his wife Pam hosted the event and 58 community members  came out to reach out and speak out for recovery.

We dispelled myths and shared facts about recovery and resilience.  Faces and voices of those present replaced numbers and fiction,  and gave real  shape to what it means to live well and maintain wellness, despite the challenges of emotional, behavioral and substance use struggles.

We deeply appreciate the staff and members of Integrity Life, the community, and all program participants for so courageously and passionately joining in the dialogue, speaking out to have a positive impact on the lives of families, children and youth in King County.
