Are you a parent/caregiver of a teenager (or older youth) who is difficult to parent? Is your parenting approach not working like you wish it would?

This free class will present an overview of some common dynamics that occur in a household containing an oppositional teen.

Parents and caregivers will receive parenting tools and techniques to move your situation in positive directions.

This training also includes interactive exercises, question and answer time, and an opportunity to network with other parents and caregivers.

Join us for an evening of food, fun and fellowship highlighted by the powerful voices of King County youth.

We’re celebrating young people who are  ready, willing and able to lead the  way to positive change, beginning with sharing their beliefs, values and ideas through spoken word.

We’re raising funds for programs to support the recovery, growth and well-being of youth with complex emotional and behavioral needs. Join us in building a King County community where  all children and youth are supported to reach their full potential without fear of stigma.

The GPS Youth Art Show is currently underway, we will accept new art pieces anytime.

This quarter’s themes are:

We look forward to receiving some wonderful masterpieces. Mail or bring it to us at Guided Pathways – Support for Youth & Families, 6625 S. 190th St, Suite B108, Kent, WA 98032. Our office hours are 9:00-5:00 for art drop off purposes.  Please be sure to download and complete the entry form posted here, including your young person’s name, age, and address, school and the name and phone number of a parent, grandparent or guardian, with each piece of artwork. Creations selected for each quarter’s GPS Living Room Art Exhibition will be featured in a blog and featured on our living room wall along with the creations of artist Laura Castellanos.  Four selected artist will receive a special gift.
